Teenagers experience a variety of new and confusing emotions and feelings almost everyday. Typical among these feelings, is the very normal, natural and gradual awareness of, or an attraction to the opposite person. Teasing only makes us more aware of the person. A crush is a harmless feeling, is temporary and can be momentary or last for several days or months, until you are attracted to someone else !
These new attractions are a normal process of growth and development through the teenage years, and should not be confused with love which is a relationship with complex emotions. Therefore, one need not feel guilty about them. you are safe as long as you do not expect the crush to turn into a relationship. Perhaps you suppress the thoughts about him, because you feel guilty about wasting time. Incomplete or suppressed thoughts cause us to be distracted, especially when we need to concentrate on important tasks.
